1. Describe the problems psychology must face as a young science.
Psychology is really not that young considering that it was developed over a century and a half ago. It originated from the philosophy of the mind and philosophy is thousands of years old. Today people say that it is a young science because most of the people that founded the theories that we use today have been within the last century. It is still a science that continues to face scrutiny and finds itself having to defend its practices often. Since a lot of psychology is based upon feelings, assumptions, behavior and etc. it’s hard to back up the information that is found.
